A NUDE fundraising calendar starring local servicemen will be launched on Friday.
The Returned Services League (RSL) has created Age Shall Not Weary Them, a calendar featuring returned servicemen with strategically placed props like machine guns, hats and gas masks, to raise money to replace the RSL toilets and build outdoor decking for the barbecue area.
Fundraising coordinator Jo Utting said there had already been at least 100 orders for the calendar, coming from across Australia, including the Nudist Federation of Australia in Queensland.
Mrs Utting said it had been disappointing to have some negative feedback on the calendar, with some people expressing the belief it was disrespectful.
"If it's not your thing that's fine, but don't be negative about a fundraiser," she said.
The calendar features Daryl Toy, Gil Green, Dave Gaffee, Garry Johnston, Dean Andrew, Peter Bradford, Mike Terrell, Alan Byram, Gary Clough and Bill Koetter.
The launch will run from 4pm to about 8pm, with snacks available and all the calendar stars present.
If the calendar sells well work could start on the decking next year, with the next step finding local tradesmen to volunteer a few hours to help out; if you can help contact the RSL on 8682 3594.
