Sheringa location for outback thriller

29 Jul, 2009 11:30 PM
A NAIL-BITING outback thriller will be filmed at Sheringa and is aptly titled "Nowhere Else".

The movie features local Sheringa Roadhouse owner Mark Lambert who he said basically plays himself, but "badder".

The film crew from Queensland has already been to Sheringa a couple of times to shoot scenes for a music video that will accompany the film and Mr Lambert said they would be back soon.

Mr Lambert likened the original screenplay to the hit Australian film Wolf Creek.

"Already it has been a magic experience and quite a few locals were extras in the music video," he said.

The film is about three surfers on a fun trip to shoot a surfing documentary, which turns into one night of unspeakable terror and a fight to survive when they turn off into a one-horse town called Nowhere Else.
