FESTIVAL goers watching the tuna toss on Sunday afternoon at Port Lincoln's Tunarama may have felt a sense of deja vu as last year's winners won the title's again.
2011 tuna toss winners Matt Staunton and Jacqui Hockaday managed the biggest throws of the competition again on Sunday, with Staunton taking top spot for the third year in a row.
Staunton locked in the win with his first throw of 23.24 metres, with second place getter Michael Proude the only competitor who got close to him at 19.84 metres.
Hockaday took out the women's category for the second year in a row, also sealing the victory with her first throw of 9.10 metres.
Staunton said his aim for the competition on Sunday was to better his throw from last year.
He said his longer throw was because he managed to get the tuna moving faster in his swing.
This year's tuna toss attracted entrants from across the globe, including Ireland and Germany.
