Lincoln cyclists ride for Amy

04 Nov, 2009 11:30 PM
THREE Port Lincoln cyclists participated in Amy's Ride in Adelaide on Sunday to support the Amy Gillett Foundation and promote the mutual awareness and respect of cyclists and motorists on the road.

Mal Keast, Greg Eden and Steve Moriarty rode in the 100 kilometre event along the Southern Expressway.

Part of the registration fees from entrants went direct to the foundation, which was established after elite South Australian cyclist Amy Gillett was killed by a motorist while training in Germany.

The foundation was formed to reduce the incidence of death and injury caused by the interaction between cyclists and motorists.
