Footy challenge to kick off season next week

MALLEE Park and Tumby Bay will be the first teams to face off in the Port Lincoln Football League be active Pre Season Cup.

Next Friday they will kick off the competition at Ravendale from 6.30pm to 8pm.

After that game Marble Range and Tasman will take to the field from 8pm to 9.30pm.

The following Friday, April 3, two games will be played at the same time, from 7pm to 8.30pm.

Boston and United Yeelanna will play on the oval closest to the netball courts, while Lincoln South will meet Cleve on the other oval.

The grand final will be played on Thursday, April 9 from 7pm to 8.30pm at Ravendale.

All the games will be played under lights with coaches allowed to rotate from a squad of up to 36 players.

Teams will be competing for $500 and the Ravendale Community Sports Centre perpetual trophy.

Games will comprise four 25-minute quarters, with a five minute break at the two quarters times and 10 minutes at half time.
