THE?Mallee Park Football Club has re-appointed 2009 premiership coach Alban Kartinyeri to lead the A grade side again this season.
President Joe Burgoyne said the club welcomed him back for what would hopefully be another fruitful year.
"The committee has a lot of faith in Alban through his coaching success last year and his discipline on players and commitment to the club," Burgoyne said.
Kartinyeri said he hoped to lead the Peckers to back-to-back flags.
He said prior to 2009, the last time Mallee Park won the flag was in 2001, when he was still playing.
"The team this year is looking alright, we've still got most of our premiership players."
Kartinyeri said the side would be strengthened by younger generation players coming through.
"The likes of James Blewit, Joseph Burgoyne, Jayden Roderick and Phillip Kartinyeri will play seniors this year."
Mallee Park has started pre-season but will fire up in the next couple weeks and any new interested players were welcome to turn up to training.
He said he wanted to see as many Mallee Park footballers out to training from 5.30pm on all Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from now on. During the season training will revert to Tuesdays and Thursdays.
