Ramblers v Eyre United, Cummins
EYRE United meet Ramblers this week and while the Magpies are vulnerable, they should still have enough firepower to win.
Last time they met
It took until late in the final quarter for Ramblers in the fourth round this year to shake off a determined Eyre United, running out eventual winners by 20 points. Matt Forster and Corey Fitzgerald were named best for the winners, while the Saints were best served by familiar names Jordan Telfer and Damian Evans.
This week's game
Ramblers have been in poor form in recent weeks, largely due to injuries and lack of consistency from several players, but they get an opportunity to get back on the winner's list this week at home against Eyre United.
The Magpies sit outside the four on percentage, (although it is worth noting that they are only one win from second place), so they will be hell bent on putting in a solid display on Saturday.
Corey Fitzgerald has been in outstanding touch through the midfield, Scott Mickan made a welcome return to their defence last week and Luke Murray played his best game for the season.
Holman and Pedler have both played under duress in recent weeks and look set to play big roles for their side, with Pedler shouldering rucking duties in the absence of James Minhard who may still be missing through a knee injury.
They have struggled to kick winning scores in recent weeks and will look for more input from the dangerous Andrew Crettenden at full forward. The Saints have been steadily on the improve since Mortlock with the return from injury of several key players.
Baillie was good again up forward last week booting five, and new player Kym Barnett showed he will be an asset in coming weeks. Ryan Modra has regained some valuable touch since returning from injury and Mathew Schramm is giving some much needed support to premier players Jordan Telfer and Damian Evans.
