Cummins women's golf
THERE were very warm and dry conditions again for the small group of women playing the first stroke round this year and first round of the putting competition.
Division one winner was Helen Clark with a very impressive 83/63 and runner-up was Joyleen Pedler with 98/72.
Second division winner was Carmel Sheehan on 94/67 from Claire Holman on 97/70.
The Doug Watson's Menswear nearest the pin (NTP) on number 17 was J. Pedler.
Novelty winner this week with the least number of putts was H. Clark with 26 putts (division one) and J. Holman with 27 putts (division two).
Isobel Kay had a birdie on number four and new granny Bev Branson had a chip in on number 11.
Handicap breaks: Helen Clark from 20 to 18 and Carmel Sheehan, 27 to 26.
With the much awaited rain falling the course will not take long to get a cover of green, which hopefully will entice more of our members out in the coming weeks.
