Grand finals
A1, Wanilla Rangers v Imperials
IMPERIALS are overjoyed to be playing in the grand final after their win over Bostons last week.
Imperials showed a massive improvement in their game with young Emily Dennis best on court.
Wanilla Rangers would have watched that game with interest and will be working out their game play to adapt to the different game that Imperials play.
Wanilla have been the driving force all year, their skill up the court is absolutely amazing. Emily Yancic is certainly one very talented player and will be the key in the circle for them.
The question will be if Jess Lynch will take the court. Her height in the circle makes it hard for anyone to rebound.
The Rangers will go in as top favourites.
A1 reserves, Bostons v Waybacks 2
This will possibly be the game of the day.
The Waybacks side is their masters side who moved into this competiton from the masters competition.
Bostons will be out to play a top game after their A1 team were defeated last week; they will want to restore some club pride. Waybacks have a lot of strength at either end of the court and Jackie Faulkhead and Tara Clark will play a major role in Waybacks' game, while Helen Marks and Olivia Britcher will be two players to watch in the Bostons team.
I think Bostons will take the game as they will be playing with club pride and passion.
A2, Wanilla Rangers 2 v St Mary's 2
This game will be showcasing our masters teams. These two teams were moved into the A2 competition after the masters competition was disbanded.
Wanilla have been a driving force now for many years and are used to playing off in finals.
St. Marys on the other hand have recruited a few new girls into that age group and are a very strong and hard side.
The Rangers will be a bit too strong for St.Marys and will go on to take the game.
A2 Res, Bostons v Waybacks 1
Another close grade with Waybacks coming from third place to win the right to tackle Bostons in the grand final. This one will be hard to predict, but with Bostons being minor premiers I will say they would have the edge over Waybacks.
A3
Wayb acks v Wanilla Rangers 2
This will certainly be one of the matches of the day.
These two teams both have some very talented juniors playing in their sides. Waybacks have been undefeated here and have been a power team.
Players like Emma Reynolds have shut down the opposition many times and made scoring very hard. The Rangers have players like Maddie Gent and Alexandra Kemp who are both very good players on either end of the court.
A3 reserves, Wanilla Rangers v Bostons
The Rangers have been top of the ladder all year here and are a very strong young team.
Bostons have a few older players in their team, but Rangers will go into this firm favourites and should all be wearing the medal after presentations.
15 under div1, Waybacks v Imperials
This grade has been a very close competition all year. Imperials were minor premiers but had to fight their way through all the finals to make it to the grand final.
Waybacks will match up well against the Imperial team and this will make a good game to watch at this time slot.
Waybacks may just go in ahead of Imperials in this tight game.
15 under div 2, Bostons v Imperials 2
Bostons have been at full strength here losing only one game in the minor round.
Imperials have had two teams battling out the second and third placing. The two teams have been very even all year and Imperials 2 won the right to take on Bostons in the grand final. Bostons have some young players in this grade but they should go on and win.
13 under div 1, Coles v Wanilla Rangers
This will certainly be the match of the day for the juniors.
Coles were undefeated in the minor round but lost to the Rangers in the semi final. Coles then had to take on St. Mary's last week and they felt the full wrath of Coles, losing the semi final.
Coles went into the grand final after a massive win and Rangers will be working hard trying to shut them down.
It will be a great tussle as there are some very talented players in both these teams. If Coles can maintain their nerves they should go onto win this game, but I am sure the Rangers have different ideas.
Make sure you catch some of this game.
13 under div 2, St. Marys 2 v Coles
Coles, who finished third in the minor round, won the right to play St. Marys after beating Wanilla Rangers in the preliminary final. St. Mary's have been undefeated all year and Coles will need to utilise all their players and including their bench if they are going to make an impact on St. Mary's, who should win this game.
11 under div 1, Imperials v Wanilla Rangers
This division has been fairly even all year.
Imperials were minor premiers by just three points over Rangers. Rangers had to play off fourth placed Coles on Saturday for the right to take it up to Imperials.
Rangers played well and could take Imperials all the way, but if Imperials play tight netball they should take the win.
11 under div 2, St. Mary's 1 v St. Mary's 2
With both St. Mary's teams playing off in this division it shows the strength this club has in the junior ranks.
The number one team came from third position and won the right to play off against the second team, who have been undefeated all year.
St. Mary's No 2 should go into this game favourite.
