UNITED Yeelanna and Cleve are two of 10 football clubs across the State selected to receive a new water tank at their oval.
The clubs will receive a 22,000 litre Team Poly water tank from the West End Community Fund (WECF), which will support some of South Australia's driest regional football fields.
United Yeelanna will have a tank installed at Karkoo as it is known to be a low rainfall area reliant on cereal and sheep agriculture.
The Cleve oval will also receive a tank and is another town reliant on rainfall to support its grain industry.
SA Water is supporting the project with a donation of up to $1000 per tank per site.
A total of 40 clubs will receive tanks over the next 18 months. The first 10 clubs to receive the tanks were selected by the SANFL's Community Football Board, which has encouraged other clubs in need to apply.
