FORTY-THREE men and 11 women entered the Saturday mixed par competition, sponsored by Crossfit.
Morning rain deterred some early players from finishing, including the two Doug Watson finalists, who agreed to postpone their match until next week but the afternoon was fine.
Chris Brooks, +1, won A grade on a countback from Brenton Lees, who had a hole in one on the sixth.
Chris Baird’s score of the day, +4, won B grade from Juri Berzins, -1. Peter Schaefer, +1, won C grade from Anthony Manuel, square.
Run-down awards went to Don Henson, Daryl Evans and Kees Mors.
The women’s winner was Cynthia Thompson, -2, counting out Jinny Hussey.
Thursday, September 15
Eighteen women played a stroke round, sponsored by Port Lincoln Warehouse, which also included the veterans’ event and the monthly medal. Adie Fraser, net 71, won the daily competition from Lorraine McDonald and Kaye Jaensch won the nine-hole event.
Cynthia Thompson won the A grade monthly medal, Adie Fraser won B grade and Elaine Thring won C grade.
Wednesday, September 14
Forty-nine men entered the mid-week Stableford event, sponsored by EP Cleaning Supplies.
In division one, Andrew Fraser, 40, had score of the day from Graeme Dyke, 39.
Coffin Bay visitor Graeme Charlton, 37, won division two on a count-back from Steve Thomson. Wayne Smith, 37, won division three from Peter Watherston, 34.
Run-down awards went to John Strycharski and Juro Berzins, 36, and Greg Cotton and Brian Henson, 34.
Sunday, September 11
Dave Wallace, 37, won the Sunday stableford competition from John Miller, 34.
