​A CUMMINS man, 29, has been arrested following an illicit drug operation run by Eyre and Western police over the weekend.

The operation, conducted with the help of police drug detection dogs, targeted the trafficking of illicit drugs around licenced premises in Port Lincoln.

Police also searched a home and industrial premises at Cummins.

Police seized about 24 grams of a powder suspected to be MDMA, eleven ecstasy tablets, ammunition and cash.

The Cummins man was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance and keeping insecure ammunition.

He was bailed to appear in court on October 28.
