Thieves target sporting clubs

PORT Lincoln police are seeking information from the local community following a recent spate of break-ins at local sporting clubs.

Overnight last Thursday, the Port Lincoln Sporting Car Clubrooms on Concorde Road were broken into, with thieves forcing open a window and stealing a cash register and a quantity of alcohol.

The same night, thieves entered a shed a Dorward Oval at North Shields and stole six aluminium baseball bats, a rotary hoe and some adjustable weights.

Sometime over last weekend, between Friday night and Sunday afternoon, thieves targeted the Port Kenny Golf Club, again stealing a quantity of alcohol.

Port Lincoln police are investigating all of these incidents, which they believe may be linked.
