Port Lincoln Red Cross community development officer Leonie Ebert said she encouraged everyone to come down and enjoy the free chicken stir-fry and pick up a recipe card.

She said food bank and 14 other organisations were coming together for the event on Thursday.

“Poverty is a hidden aspect in our community so the event is about raising awareness, a bit about education and about supporting people in the community who need it,” she said.
