A PORT Lincoln man was arrested on Friday after allegedly starting a fire in a supermarket.
Police were called to the Foodland supermarket on Liverpool Street just after 3pm following a report of a small fire in an aisle.
Staff at the store managed to extinguish the fire before emergency services arrived.
Police viewed CCTV footage and following an investigation a 46-year-old man was arrested at his home address.
He was charged with arson and theft after police found grocery items believed stolen from the supermarket.
