Tod River remain undefeated in the Kookaburra Home Solutions Twenty/20 Cup after defeating the formerly unbeaten Wayback by four wickets at Ravendale on Tuesday.
Wayback bat first and saw the first two wickets fall in short order before Luke Wilkins made some big hits to get the score going.
Wilkins ended up as top scorer for Wayback with 36 before he was bowled by Tyson Arthur.
At the tail end Joel Davies also helped Wayback get to a respectable 9/112 at the end of its innings, finishing on 26 not out.
Tynan Keeley stood out in bowling for Tod River with 2/9 while Arthur finished on 2/24.
Opener Blaze Kay got Tod River’s run chase going and was making some great hits.
Kay finished eight boundaries, including two sixes, on his way to a half century before he was caught by Kerrie O’Leary for 59.
Tom Gent and Robin Earle finished the run chase off for Tod River as the team finished on 6/115 in the 16th over.
Best for Wayback in bowling was Shane Stockham who finished on 3/25.
