Port Neill received plenty of support for its new community van at the Under the Pines Twilight Market on Friday evening.
About 500 people attended the market with 30 stallholders providing a range of items including homewares and children’s clothing.
The markets raised nearly $2000, which will go towards the cost of the new 12-seat community van.
Member for Grey Rowan Ramsey opened the markets as the government’s Stronger Community Grants Program provided half the funding to purchase the new van.
The Under the Pines Twilight Market Committee was happy with how the market went and member Sue Pfitzner said it was phenomenal to see how many people supported the event.
“Feedback so far has been 100 per cent positive,” she said.
