Lower Eyre Peninsula’s latest group of graduates will find out on Tuesday if they will enter the university course they want as the South Australian Tertiary Admission Centre has its major offer round.

SATAC will email out offers to graduates by 5pm or people can access the Express Offer Service on the SATAC website from 2pm.

One student eagerly awaiting his results is St Joseph’s School year 12 graduate Charlie Muecke whose first preference is Bachelor of Medical Science (Vision Science), Master of Optometry at Flinders University.

Charlie said he felt confident about his chances of getting where he wants to go as he achieved an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank of 97.90 before bonus points.

“They (Flinders University) said I had to get a bit higher to be competitive but with my bonus points I feel confident,” he said.

“A lot (of students) from my school were very happy with what they got.”

If successful Charlie plans plans to move to Adelaide this year and board at Aquinas College as he prepares to start his university studies.

On advice for this year’s group of year 12 students, Charlie said they should work hard to meet all deadlines for work and keep the phone away while studying.

More information about applications is available online on the SATAC website.
