Hungry Jack's moving into Port Lincoln

CONSTRUCTION on Hungry Jack’s will start this year if Peregrine Corporation’s application to build the 280 square metre stand-alone store next to the existing On The Run (OTR) is approved.

OTR general manager Darryl Cotter said the company engaged with the local community to establish what food brand people wanted in the town.

“The new Hungry Jack’s store will further enhance the OTR offer to the local community and ensure that our guests receive a greater experience with ultimate convenience,” Mr Cotter said.

Mr Cotter said a number of new jobs will be created during the construction phase.

“Hungry Jack’s will create around 30 casual, part time and full time roles when up and running which will be filled from the local community of Port Lincoln,” he said.

“We are hoping to get approval early this year for construction to commence later in 2017.”

The category three development includes the Hungry Jack’s restaurant, drive-thru and playground as well as a new diesel canopy for trucks to the north, car parking on the eastern boundary and landscaping.

The development application is open for comment from today until Thursday March 2 and the application can be examined at the Port Lincoln City Council office, during normal office hours.

Written submissions concerning the application should be posted to the Port Lincoln City Council’s chief executive officer at PO Box 1787, Port Lincoln SA, 5606.
