Cummins sausage not paltry

CUMMINS Meat Store was named king of the poultry sausage at the regional Sausage King competition.

Butchers from Cummins, Wudinna, Streaky Bay and Kimba entered products in the competition. 

Butchers could enter products into categories including traditional Australian beef, Australian lamb/open class, traditional Australian pork, poultry, continental and gourmet open class as well as the Best Butchers Burger competition. 

While Cummins walked away with the top prize for poultry, the Wudinna Meat Store won traditional Australian beef, traditional Australian pork and the gourmet open class and the Streaky Bay Meat Service took out the Australian lamb/open class.

The regional winners will go on to compete at the state grand final.
