THE Red Care Packs initiative, which provides women from around the Eyre Peninsula with access to free sanitary products, has been deemed a success.
Since starting in February this year, 12 organisations have come on board as distribution points for the packs.
Red Cross Eyre Peninsula and Far West regional co-ordinator Kerry Schubert said communities from across the Eyre Peninsula had been generous in donating women’s sanitary products.
She said the packs were put together by local Red Cross Club members, who were enjoying doing something to benefit the community.
Mrs Schubert said the Red Care Packs were discrete and women could simply walk into any of the distribution points and take what they needed.
“It is our vision to make Red Care Packs so successful that women will never have to worry about where to get sanitary products ever again,” Mrs Schubert said.
