Lake Wangary Primary School students held their first International Mud Day on Thursday, June 29.
Students and staff enjoyed activities including making mud pies, sliding into a mud pit, mud painting and more.
The school also hosted students from Lincoln Gardens Primary School and Port Lincoln Junior Primary School who joined in on the fun.
Lake Wangary Primary School was happy to see students mixing together and having a great time in the mud.
International Mud Day is a day for students, adults and organisations all around the world to get muddy and raise awareness of nature for children.
Lake Wangary has had a big focus on Nature Play and this day showed the students they did not need toys to have fun.
Principal Sandra Spencer said from mud kitchens to digging pits, from mud pies to mud art, there were many activities that ignited the children’s imagination.
