POWER PARTNERSHIP: Port Lincoln Prison correctional staff Josh Evans, Jerry Fagan and Clinton Helliar look forward to the high profile partnership with the Port Adelaide Football Club with a new rehabilitation program.

The Port Adelaide Football Club will be coming to the Port Lincoln Prison as part of a series of rehabilitation programs with South Australian prisons and correctional centres.

The football club’s Power Community Ltd was awarded a $40,000 grant to run its renowned Wellbeing and Resilience program, with up to 40 local prisoners expected to participate.

The program will begin at the Port Lincoln Prison on August 23 where club staff and players will run theory sessions and give prisoners the opportunity for a kick and catch with the players.

Port Lincoln Prison general manager Damian Prentis said the partnership was a great opportunity and it was incredible to see a high profile club willing to work with prisons across the state.
