Marauders drew with Panthers 1-1

ON a freezing cold Friday evening, teams played with determined fighting spirit.

Panthers had many many attempts at goal but were unable to convert until early in the second half.

Their celebrations were short lived as Marauders replied with a huge aerial tapped in by Bryce Hammond.

Tom de la Perrelle played with consistent and relentless determination, intercepting passes and supporting the forward line.

Ryder and Max Rogalski, on opposite teams, played out several tussles and Cameron Forbes was solid through the centre for Panthers but struggled to get past Jordan Ambrose in defence.

Brother Jesse played clean passes across the midfield, Will Whittaker showed confident control and Harry Moore applied consistent pressure through Marauders midfield. Cambell Waller, positioned well and  travelled the wing working hard to push past the relentless Marauders defence.

Jevan Ambrose, playing half back, intercepted and carried passes successfully to Marauders front line.

Marauders midfield (Kulani, Ethan and Levi) played slick clean controlled short passing to each other, while James Rudland in defence never gave up chasing down second and third attempts.

Zak Shepperd and Jasper Farlam presented strong defence in Panthers fullback line, passing solid balls to wings Brock Wise and Darcy Wiseman who effectively transferred them to the goal circle.

Goalies Dion and Taj kept busy and warm throughout the game.
