A Port Lincoln man was fined after police found almost half a kilogram of cannabis in his car during a routine stop on Wednesday.
Police made the discovery when the 28-year-old was pulled over at a driver testing station on Flinders Highway at Mount Hope just after 2pm.
Police then searched the man’s Port Lincoln home where they allegedly located cannabis and white powder suspected of being cocaine.
The man was issued a cannabis expiation notice and a drug diversion notice.
Cannabis, firearm seized at Wangary
At 1pm on Friday, September 15, police from Coffin Bay and Elliston searched a house at Wangary where they located cannabis, implements for the consumption of amphetamine and an unregistered firearm.
The home owner, a 47-year-old man, was reported for possessing a firearm without a licence, possessing an unregistered firearm, possessing ammunition without a licence and failing to securely store a firearm.
He was also issued with a cannabis expiation notice and a drug diversion notice and will face court at a later date.
