The Australian Grain Growers’ Co-operative reported significant profit growth year-on-year at its annual general meeting at the recent Yorke Peninsula Field Days event.
Newly elected chairman, Mallala grain grower Richard Konzag, who took the reins in July, said the positive financial position was a result of ongoing support from growers.
Mr Konzag said the board also confirmed the re-election of Jim Heaslip and Bruce McDonald and the election of new board member Jordan Wilksch, who joined in July.
Mr Konzag said the team was pleased to welcome Mr Wilksch and described him as a “passionate grower who understands the changing landscape of farming for the next generation”.
Mr Wilksch farms with his family as Wilksch Agriculture at Yeelanna.
