Thomas wins GT All Sports Award

Bendigo Bank Eyre Peninsula Open Championships winner Shaun Thomas has been named as the first post-winter season GT All Sports Award recipient.

The championships attracted 79 entrants, including 7 visitors, and among those was local golfer Thomas who carded a 76 to win the event by one shot from Clinton Scharfe.

Along with the open win Thomas can enjoy a $40 voucher for the Grand Tasman Hotel.

Bendigo Bank Eyre Peninsula Open Championships ranks as one of the best golf events in country South Australia and all involved in running it are congratulated for their efforts.

Congratulations to all championship winners.

The last two awards for the winter sport season were given to the best on ground players from the Port Lincoln netball and football grand finals, Wanilla Rangers’ Ellie Cooper and Wayback’s Matthew Goodwin.

The GT All Sports Award will continue as the summer season rolls into gear with the first Port Lincoln cricket recipient to be announced.
