Tasman juniors won the colts twenty/20 final by two runs in a super over at Ravendale on November 2 to go back-to-back premiers.

With scores locked away at 116 each after 20 overs coaches and the Port Lincoln Cricket Association president looked for some rules.

A ‘super over’ it was with Tasman batting first and managing 15 runs without losing a wicket.

Wayback needed six runs off the last two deliveries. Fingernails were bitten down to nothing when they got two off one ball and needed a six to win or a four to tie.

The Wayback batsmen ran but only managed two with some great bowling by Jaiden Jude and fielding.

Wayback batted first and scored 6/116.

The top order of Isaac Grima, Sam Clark and Zac Mullins all retired on 20 with Brett Woolford holding the tail together with 12, a very competitive total.

Pick of the Tasman bowlers was Jessie Cornish 2/17.

The Tasman top order held together with George Wilks, 22, and Jesse Cornish, 21, both retiring, Jaiden Jude, 13, and Jackson Smith, 15.

Tasman needed six runs off the last over and got them with Bodie Fauser and Tahaila Walladge running their little legs off to tie the match 116 each.

Pick of the Wayback bowlers were Zac Mullins 1/10 and Sam Clark 1/11.

It was a super way to end a super grand final win with Jessie Cornish being named player of the match and Tasman captain Mitch Jude receiving the T20 trophy.
