FIRE: Smoke pours out of a shed as CFS contend with the fire at Boston on Friday.

A fire in a shed at Boston on Friday afternoon was deemed not to be suspicious.

The CFS was alerted to the structure fire at 4.10pm after smoke was seen coming out of a shed on a private property at Petrel Court.

Three appliances from Lincoln CFS brigade, including a bulk water carrier, attended the scene with police and SA Ambulance also attending as a precaution.

The CFS warned residents living around Boston, Winter Hill Lookout  and Port Lincoln Golf Club to close all doors and windows due to the smoke risk.

Four CFS breathing apparatus operators went into the shed and had the fire controlled before 5pm.

There were no injuries and the CFS confirmed there was only minimal damage to the shed.

Police said the fire was not suspicious and it was believed to have started accidentally.

The bushfire danger season started in all Eyre Peninsula fire ban districts on November 1.
