Changes made to dump process

CHANGE: Dump users will have to weigh-in and pay before dumping.

CHANGE: Dump users will have to weigh-in and pay before dumping.

A NEW payment and weighbridge process started at the Port Lincoln Resource Recovery Centre on Friday requiring all vehicles to stop at the weighbridge before entering.

All vehicles must stop on the weighbridge outside the payment office for officers to inspect the load and to advise of the dumping fees.

After payment has been made, users will move on as normal to unload.

Cars, utes and trailers with domestic waste will not be weighed.

Commercial users such as trucks or users with trade accounts will have to drive up onto the weighbridge as normal to report in before continuing on to unload.

After unloading the driver must loop back around the shed and park back on the weighbridge for weighing before exiting the facility.

Officers at the Resource Recovery Centre will be able to assist drivers when they arrive at the pay station.
