MORE than 70 pieces of art from local, state and interstate artists have been hung in the Nautilus Arts Centre, ready for the 10th annual Port Lincoln Art Prize.

A new category has also been introduced for 2018, the West Coast Youth and Community Support and Rotary Port Lincoln Youth Award, which encourages artists under 18 years old to submit artwork to the exhibition.

Nautilus Arts Centre coordinator Georgina Shirley said the success of the art show was thanks to the generous sponsors and the support of the Port Lincoln City Council.

She said the Port Lincoln Hotel was sponsoring this year’s judge Eleanor Scicchitano.

“Art has an ability to bring people and the community together,” Ms Shirley said.

“There is some amazing local talent and it’s nice to see it on display.”

The Port Lincoln Art Prize winners will be announced at a reception in the Nautilus Arts Centre tonight, from 7pm.
