Nobody was injured when a truck collided with a car on Western Approach Road in Port Lincoln on Wednesday.

Police MFS and SA Ambulance were called to the scene just before 11.30am after a truck allegedly crashed into the back of a car near the Pine Freezers Road turnoff.

Police said the car had been travelling down Western Approach Road with a heavy vehicle in front of it.

The heavy vehicle was turning left onto Pine Freezers Road and one of its trailers swung outwards, forcing the vehicle to slow down and it was allegedly hit by a truck travelling behind it.

The truck driver and the two people in the car were uninjured but the rear of the car was extensively damaged.
