Communications Officer

Your new company
This leading State Government department is responsible for supporting Victoria's natural and built environment to ensure economic growth and liveable, sustainable and inclusive communities that are resilient to the impacts of climate change.

Your new role
You will be developing and implementing communications strategies and plans. You will be building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve collaborative outcomes for effective projects. Contributing to internal and external channels, you'll be creating written content for social media, newsroom platforms, websites and speeches.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

• High level written communication skills
• Digital content creation for various platforms including website and social media
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing communication strategies
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and management skills
• Understanding the issues and trends of environment
• Previous experience in government campaigns is highly desirable
