EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY FIRST NATIONS ENGAGEMENT OFFICER Part Time, 2 Year Contract Position $27,403 to $41,104 per annum Plus 10% superannuation Additional 3% Council superannuation contribution Estimated start February 2022 The City of Port Lincoln is seeking a part time First Nations Engagement Officer to facilitate and support arts and cultural components of the Port Lincoln Foreshore Project and assist in coordinating relevant Native Title Act 1993 and Aboriginal Heritage Act 1988 (SA) processes. This role will also support development of strong relationships between Council and the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community as identified in Council's Reconciliation Action Plan. Key objectives include: Consult and liaise with Barngarla Determination Aboriginal Corporation and assist the Project Manager – Major Projects to meet consultation and compliance obligations. Assist facilitation of First Nations art and cultural aspects of the Port Lincoln Foreshore Project. Develop relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholder groups, organisations and peoples. Support development of cultural competency for project stakeholders in conjunction with Barngarla Determination Aboriginal Corporation and other identified organisations.
