Full job description

An opportunity exists to join our Port Lincoln office in a full time role providing reception, administrative and client services support to our broking team. This is an amazing entry level opportunity to join the general insurance industry, train as an Assistant Broker, whilst being mentored by a team of experienced insurance professionals. As an Assistant Broker you will be responsible for:

·        General reception and administration duties

·        Administrative tasks such as processing paperwork, client correspondence, maintain detailed

records and data entry

·        Policy renewals, endorsements and cancellations

·        New business quotations

·        Liaising, negotiating and developing relationships with clients and underwriters

·        Providing clients with guidance throughout the full claims process


Key skills required for success in the role include:

The completion of your Year 12 studies is preferred and you must have a good base of work experience to draw from, preferably in customer service type roles.


You must be keen to learn and happy to take on a variety of tasks. To succeed in this position you will need the following skills and attributes:

·        Excellent customer service, communication, and negotiation skills

·        Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

·        Having a positive attitude, being committed and a willingness to learn

·        Sound time management, organisational and planning skills

·        Solid ability to use Microsoft Suite and insurance industry packages

·        Having a high level of literacy & numeracy skills

·        A good work ethic, with the ability to work independently and within a team environment

·        Must hold a current Australian drivers licence
