Your new role
- Understand customer insights and feedback
- Act to put the best interests of our customers at the heart of everything we do
- Case underwrite, assess risk on an individual basis, whilst assisting with the development and retention of existing business
- Ensure all business underwritten enhances portfolio targets and profitability and that underwriting bias is given to risks that display better than average profitability through selection and prudent underwriting Effectively manage workflows and phone queues to ensure delivery of quality products and services
- Manage relationships across various distribution channels as per delegated authority limits
- Accurately interpret, anticipate and provide solutions to customers’ needs from available information to design sustainable responses to suit customer circumstances and address their needs
What you'll need to succeed
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant regulatory and/or legislative compliance requirements that affect the organisation
- Prior experience working in as an Underwriter under Australian regulations
- Demonstrated enthusiasm and ability to optimise business value to customers by delivering high quality services and positive customer experiences to sustain and enhance the customer base
- Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends and links that inform judgements and solutions
- Pay high attention to detail by completing tasks with thoroughness and accuracy and has the ability to quickly identify errors or inconsistencies within information
- Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision making. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact and influence
