A TOTAL of 324 fish were caught from 18 boats in this year's Port Lincoln Tuna Classic.
The 10kg line class only catch and release fishing event is held off Port Lincoln the week after Easter each year.
Peter Teakle's The Battler was the overall winner after an outstanding first day fishing.
The Battler had amazed the entire competition after catching and releasing 26 tournament sized fish in three hours, and at "stop fishing" at 5pm had caught and released an unbeatable 47 fish.
On the second day there were heavier winds with Ralf Czabayski's Spartacus the day two winner with seven fish.
Russell Bianco won the calcutta by bidding on the boat that won the heaviest fish and took home a cheque for $12,650 while 10 per cent of the prize pool ($1410) was donated to the Volunteer Marine Rescue.
Adrian Bothur was the champion male angler with 18 fish while Susan Tarbotton was the champion female angler and overall angler with 19 fish.
Sam Czabayski won the champion junior angler award.
