PORT Lincoln Community House is leading a project which is seeing the repainting of street and house signs on the curbs of Port Lincoln streets.

Port Lincoln councillor and Community House manager Linda Davies saw a need for the project after listening to a deputation by the Port Lincoln Neighbourhood Watch.

The Community House is coordinating the program with cooperation from Workskil, Work for the Dole and the Port Lincoln City Council to implement this project.

Work for the Dole participants have been painting the street signs with about 30 streets already completed and another 10 being done at the moment.

Ms Davies said there was constant liaising with the Port Lincoln Council, who they have a memorandum of understanding with.

“Community House believes this will have a great outcome for the community, especially for those in the emergency services, ambulance and local businesses including taxi drivers,” she said.
