Almost five times the limit

A woman recorded a blood alcohol reading almost five times the legal limit after police saw her black Ford SUV hit a kerb as it entered Wingard Terrace and mount the concrete median strip on Sunday night.

Just after 10pm, police stopped the car and breath tested the driver who allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.227 per cent.

The Port Lincoln woman, 26, was reported for drink driving and aggravated driving without due care. She lost her licence for 12 months, her car was impounded and she will appear in the Port Lincoln Magistrates Court.
