Pobke earns GT Award

With a stand out game at home plate and on the pitching mound, Shields’ Tim Pobke has earned the latest GT All Sports Award.

Pobke was a stand out in Shields’ 20-1 victory against Coyotes in the Lower Eyre Peninsula Baseball League preliminary final.

Pobke had a stellar game on the mound with five strikeouts and only one run scored off him.

He also had a great night at bat which included a three-run home run.

For his efforts Pobke has earned a  $40 voucher for the Grand Tasman Hotel.

The award, which was initiated by Ronald ‘Bluey’ Dunn, is an all sports award which recognise the best player from one of the A grade senior sports played in Port Lincoln.

Another baseball player will be recognised next week from the winning grand final team, as well as a player from the winning preliminary final team in the cricket.

For information about the award or how your sport can be involved contact Bluey Dunn on 0459 022 471.
