Ann Fowler has completed her term as relief principal of Yalata Anangu School.
Regular school principal Bob Sim had time off for a personal study term and was replaced by Mrs Fowler.
She said she had enjoyed her time at the Yalata Anangu School and was made to feel welcome in the tight-knit community.
“It’s all about the kids and making school a place they want to come to,” Mrs Fowler said.
“You only get one chance, so you must make the most of everyday.
“The staff, the children and the community created a most welcoming atmosphere, they have been most supportive to both Darrell and myself and that made our time here memorable both at school and out in the community.”
Mrs Fowler left Yalata wishing everyone the very best and a message encouraging all families to help get their children to school every day.
She said it had been a real privilege to have worked with the children of Yalata during the term.
Mrs Fowler said she and her husband Darrell would be taking some time off after an enjoyable term two of the school year on the West Coast.
Students and staff were impressed with Mrs Fowler during her time at the school and feedback was impressive.
Mr Sim will return to Yalata Anangu School and his usual position for term three, which will be starting next week.
