The Grains Research and Development Corporation will host a Grains Research Update at Cummins on Friday.
The update provides a unique forum for growers and advisers to learn from and network with leading industry professionals.
Topics will include weed management, improving profitability, nutrient considerations and proactive response to the poor season.
Chris Preston from the University of Adelaide will discuss the impacts of the dry conditions on herbicide effectiveness and weed management decisions and Ed Hunt from Ed Hunt Ag Consultancy will speak on the topic of proactive management decisions in response to the poor season.
Brad Nutt from Western Australia’s Murdoch University will talk about improving the profitability of cropping and livestock integration; Rob Norton from the International Plant Nutrition Institute will talk on nutrient considerations for 2017; and virtual fencing for future grain and grazing operations will be the focus of a presentation by Rick Llewellyn from the CSIRO.
The update will be at the Cummins Rambler Football Clubrooms from 9am to 1pm.
