Rural Runway: Tanunda teen face of Adelaide Fashion Festival event

About 250 people flocked to Seppeltsfield Winery on Sunday for the Azalea Models Rural Model Search hosted by Adelaide Fashion Festival.

From a strong crowd of hopeful contenders, Tanunda’s Chelsea Burke, 17, was named the winner.

As part of her prize, Chelsea receives a one-year contract with Azalea Models, $1000 in prizes and she will be the face of the Rural Runway show to be held at Seppeltsfield on Saturday, October 14, as part of the 2017 Adelaide Fashion Festival.

Rural Model Search judges included Azalea Models’ Stacey Hendrickson and AFF organisers Robyn Ingerson and Chris Kontos.

“We were looking for a girl who was ready to take on the challenge of being the face of a runway event, so she needed to ooze confidence, which Chelsea did,” Ms Hendrickson said.

“But we also found so many beautiful runner-ups and hope to sign some more faces from the day.”

Runners up were Stella Holt from Flaxman Valley, and Jemma Linke and Meg Couzner from Tanunda.
