THE five 2018 Tunarama Ambassador Quest entrants were sashed at an event at Boston Bay Winery on Sunday.
Miss Port Lincoln Hotel Zoey Fordham will raise money for Mentally Fit EP, Miss La Mode Hairstylists Ivanka Beytell will raise money for Tunarama Festival, Miss Eyre Travel Abbey Schlink will raise money for Riding Free of Domestic Violence, Miss Elders Chantelle Lock will raise money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and Miss Unity Hill Church Benita Doughty will raise money for Novita.
While some of the entrants grew up on the Eyre Peninsula, others like Miss Elders Chantelle Lock have chosen to make Port Lincoln home.
She said her charity, the RFDS, had helped her family numerous times and she was “proud and excited” to be able to give back.
Miss La Mode Hairstylists Ivanka Beytell said she had decided to join the quest to meet new people and make “long lasting friendships” as well as start her own journey of personal growth.

The event also provided entrants with the opportunity to share more about themselves, their charities and why they chose to participate in the quest.
The youngest entrant Miss Eyre Travel Abbey Schlink said she was excited for the journey ahead and the opportunity to learn more about the community and form friendships.
Tunarama Ambassador Quest coordinator Tamara Humenick said a lot of hard work had gone into the quest already and she was proud of the entrants.
She said while there was still a long road ahead for the entrants she was proud of how far they had already come.
“I am so proud of the entrants and I’m so excited to watch them grow throughout the quest,” Miss Humenick said.
She thanked the sponsors for supporting the quest but in particular the entrants.
“Without our sponsors none of this would be possible.”
