UNDER 13 – Wayback v Lincoln South
IN what will be an exciting start to grand final day the hard running Eagles meet the big bodied and talented Demons who are one win away from a perfect season.
The Scott Mullins coached Redlegs have dominated opposition with first use of the ball coming from the multi-skilled Jak Kennedy, a player who loves to take opposition on.
The Mullins brothers Jay and Kaid rarely fumble and don’t waste possessions, twin targets up forward Saxon Spencer and Michael Dickinson kicked three majors in the second semi win. Outside runners Lochie Day and Ashton Whittle will have big roles while in the back half Ashton Krollig loves to go for intercept marks and league best and fairest Beau Baldwin has the complete package of skills. Also look for young talent in Arjay Isle and Bailey Fraser.
The Eagles returned to form in the preliminary final as the Luke Duncan coached side set up a mosquito fleet, Richmond style forward line.
Speedsters Conor Kennedy and Connor Madden ran riot while the move of Seb Henderson to the middle set up clearances and brought others into play. Dylan Evans provides grunt to the side but the Eagles’ x-factor is Jevan Horton who can play any position and can inspire his side. The much improved Bradley Dare has had a great finals series, Cody Duncan can play at either end and Chai Thompson should be fired up for the day.
The Eagles are capable of an upset but you just can’t go past the Redlegs. Tip: Wayback 11-20.
