It seems like the run of calm weather is over for a while but there are still plenty of fish about, so those lucky enough to still be on holidays, get out and catch a feed while you can.
A few Mulloway have been caught up around the dog fence and Yalata. Most are just legal or just under.
In close around the rocky headlands between Coles Point and Ceduna there are schools of salmon and some big sweep being caught. There are also some very fat garfish being caught in the bays and around the rocks.
In Streaky Bay, nice sand crabs have been caught in close.
Greenly and Rocky Islands are producing tuna averaging in the middle of the size bracket.
Most fish caught average 10 to 15 kilograms, proving great fun on lighter gear.
The odd tuna is being caught up to 60kg!
Some big salmon were also caught on tuna diving lures, proving great by-catch.
Farm Beach provided boaties a good feed of King George whiting, along with some decent gummy shark catches.
Australian salmon are being caught around the Boston Island area, averaging 1.5kg.
Thistle Island boaties are reporting King George whiting are hit and miss but size was generally okay with about eight in every 10 caught legal size.
Some have been close to 50 centimetres but they are harder to find most days.
Proper Bay has had reports of squid, garfish, King George whiting and blue swimmer crabs, all caught in decent numbers of legal size.
The town jetty and main wharf is worth a look as kingfish are being caught from undersize through to about 50cm, with some much larger fish being sighted but unable to be landed.
Blue swimmer crabs are being caught in deeper waters from Louth, Boston and Proper bays, most legal size.
Tuna around 20kg were caught south of the passage, however most fish were averaging 7 to 15kg.
Snapper are being caught locally around Port Lincoln to around about 3kg.
Garfish are being caught in good numbers from Proper Bay down to around Taylors Island.
Boaties fishing the Group are reporting big King George whiting averaging 38cm to 50cm. Big squid were also caught in good numbers throughout the area.
Rugger snapper were mentioned to be in the area, with best results being in the late afternoon, when berley was presented.
The marina and channel areas are still producing a mixed bag of trevally, salmon trout, whiting and kingfish to 50cm.
