The Port Lincoln man who had his Mercedes stolen while he was in the toilet at McDonald’s last week has got his car back.

Keith Barker had his keys stolen from a toilet stall at the fast food restaurant on Monday and then watched the thief drive off in his car.

The car was found near Port Lincoln on Monday afternoon.

Police handed back the keys and the car two days later, following forensic testing and other checks.

The vehicle suffered only minor damage from the incident and Mr Barker was happy to have it back.
