Thursday, May 3 was the annual veterans day, sponsored by Origin Energy, with 17 players competing.
John Kenny, 89, was the veteran’s gross winner while Geoff Morgan, 99, was runner-up.
Peter Oestmann, 72, won the net winner balls followed by Bruce Greenshields with 76.
The nearest the pin (NTP) winner for the men was Bruce Greenshield while John Kenny won the long drive.
The ladies winner was Gina Kenny with a gross of 100 making it a good day for the husband and wife team. Ann Trewartha came in second with a 104.
The net winner was Pauline Britza, 81, followed by Jill Furnell, 82, on a count-back from Karen Burgin and Helen Rammers.
Ladies NTP winner was Pauline Britza while the long drive was Gina Kenny.
Junior vets winner was Andrew Pietsch, 85, followed by Rick Kavanagh on 94.
Sunday, May 6 was a much better day with 29 players competing.
Tim Branford, 70, won the monthly medal sponsored by Coffin Bay Oyster Company.
Andrew Pietsch. Geoff Morgan was runner-up with 72 while Peter Moos, 73, was third.
Deidre Mann, 74, won the ladies on a count-back from Helen Rammers while Ann Trewartha, 75, was third on a count-back from Karen Burgin.
NTP winners for the men was A. Manuel while Deidre Mann won the ladies.
The first round of the Pub in the Scrub has been completed with Karen Burgin going straight through to the semi finals.
Peter Moos and Steve Thomson are competing in the second round. Andrew Pietsch, Brett Hensel, Tim Branford and Phil Siviour are still to play their matches.
The first round of the ladies interclub pennants was played in Coffin Bay on Monday, May 7.
Coffin Bay defeated Tumby Bay 3/1.
A grade winner of ladies golf on May 8 was Judy Cain while Helen Rammers won the B and C grade.
Gina Siegert won the putting competition with 27 while Ann Middleton was the NTP winner and Jude Cain won the long drive.
