Suspended sentence for SA crime spree

A woman charged with a series of offences from a crime spree across South Australia that ended in Port Lincoln last month, received a suspended prison sentence on Friday.

Jaimee Lee Dando, 21, of Geelong faced court via video from Port Augusta prison after previously pleading guilty to 14 charges including theft, interfering with a motor vehicle, driving a motor vehicle without consent, making off without payment, serious criminal trespass and unlawful possession.

The charges related to offences committed between April 4 and 9 in Mount Gambier, Robe, Rendelsham, Victor Harbor and Port Lincoln.

Ms Dando was sentenced to eight months in prison which was suspended and she was put on an 18-month good behaviour bond.

She was also disqualified for driving for 12 months.

Her co-accused remains at large.
