The Port Lincoln foreshore will be jam packed with family fun and child friendly activities on Sunday, May 20, by hosting a family day celebrating National Families Week, held between May 15 and May 21.

The family day will run between 11am and 2pm and will have activities such as a bouncy castle, bubble soccer, live music, and entertainment for the whole family.

Kirton Point Children’s Centre community development coordinator Sonia Regan said families played an important role in creating a connected, strong and vibrant community.

“Let’s take time to acknowledge those connections and celebrate all that our community has to offer,” Ms Regan said.

“When we have stronger families in our communities, it creates a stronger community, and a stronger community means families are stronger.”

Ms Regan said there would be about 25 service providers and community groups that support families across Port Lincoln and the Lower Eyre Peninsula at the event.
